Dance blogs in the press

Gia Kourlas writes in Time Out New York:

Not every dance blog makes for good reading,

But she likes two: Kristin Sloan’s The Winger and the previously mentioned, yet to be fully activated, Movement Research Critical Correspondence.

  1. Gail (LGOYB) Says:

Fascinating that she praises one site for discussion that does not yet exist. Do you suppose she’s read much of the discussions that already do exist?

  2. Doug Fox Says:

Gail, I had the same thought as you - it’s odd that Gia Kourlas writes about and praises a blog, “Performance Journal,” that is brand new (3 stories and 2 sections of blog are not complete) and opens her article with what is essentially a blanket criticism of all other dance blogs:

“Not every dance blog makes for good reading…”
