Bio

Rachel Feinerman began her dance training at Barnard College. Since then she has performed with a variety of choreographers in a wide range of techniques. She has performed with Laurie De Vito & Dancers since 1999 working in a lyrical modern style. She has also danced with Ricardo Gomez Dance Theater in the Graham tradition, Daria Fain’s Human Behavior Explorers which is based on Qi-Gong principles, Sita Mani in a yoga-based method, and Suki John in a modern ballet technique. She has also danced for Wilson Mendieta, Isabel Gotzkowsky, Yael Levy, Sakura Shimada, and many others. She has been cast in photo and film projects including Stephanie Matthews’ black & white series “Dance: A Study of Movement and Fluidity” and Daria Fain’s dance film, Clocks and Clouds. Rachel’s choreography has been presented at Dance New Amsterdam, Green Space Studio, WAX, Evolving Arts Theater, Makor, Greenwich House Theater, and Minor Latham Playhouse at Barnard College. She has been on faculty at Dance New Amsterdam since 2000 and has taught at Barnard College, 3rd Ward, and the Educational Alliance. She has choreographed over 13 musicals for MutipleOutlet Productions.
